The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi who was recently presented with the key of a town in America while on his visit, drew the attention of people and the Fire brigade.

The attention of firemen was drawn when traditional rites done to honour the monarch outside a Museum during his trip to the United States of America involved fire.

The Ooni of Ife, his wife and his entourage had gathered in front of the Smithsonian Museum of African Art, to observe some traditional rites, some of which involved naked fire and of course smoke.

When Sango worshippers performed their rites suddenly Fire Brigade were everywhere and this prompted some people to call the Washington D.C fire department.

The Ooni’s entourage had to explain what was happening to the people around.
