Ogun Correspondents Chapel holds annual Ramadan lecture

The annual Ramadan lecture of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ogun State Council will hold on Tuesday, 21 June.

The lecture, which is the fifth in the series, will be held at the Cinema hall of the Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Kazeem Olowe, the topic of this year lecture is; “Islam and Human Security: Fundamental to Sustainable Development”.

The Guest Lecturer is an erudite scholar of international repute, Sheik (Dr.) Khalid Abubakar Aliyu, the Secretary-General of the Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Kaduna State.

The Chairman of the occasion is a federal lawmaker, representing Egbado South/Ipokia Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade, a.k.a, Tripple A, while the State governor, Ibikunke Amosun will be the Special Guest of Honour.

As a group of journalists, the chapel believes in maximizing the opportunity of the holy month of Ramadan in idenfying problems confronting the society and proffering workable solutions through the lecture.

Islamic groups, corporate bodies and individuals invited are expected to be punctual to witness the thought-provoking lecture.
