The police in Benin have confirmed the abduction of a 37-year-old man with a hunchback, simply identified as Usokpowu (alias Tokyo), in Benin, Edo state, by gunmen suspected to be ritualists. ‎

According to family sources, the victim said to be a musician and professional Master of Ceremony, was abducted by gunmen at his residence at Okhokhugbo community in Egor local government area of the state.

He was found dead three days later where his corpse was deposited at a primary school.

Vital organs such as liver, private parts and the hunch were found to have been removed.

The State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Chris Ezike, who confirmed the incident, said it was a case of missing person.

Ezike said investigation has commenced into the case and that he has directed the Criminal Investigation Department to take over the case.‎
