Major sponsor of Nigeria’s national teams, Globacom, has tasked the Home-based Super Eagles to ensure a quality representation and make Nigeria proud at the 2016 Africa Nations Cup Championship (CHAN) kicking off in Rwanda 16 January 16.

The Eagles, who are grouped alongside Niger, Tunisia and Guinea, will hope to improve on their third place finish at the 2014 edition in South Africa.

“We believe the Super Eagles will key into the new dawn in Nigerian football at international competitions by surpassing their previous record in the CHAN and emerging as the ultimate winners this time,” Globacom said in a statement in Lagos.

“We have also noted the plethora of talented individuals in the squad during preparations for the competition and we hope they would pool their skills together to make Nigeria shine,” the statement added.

The next generation network advised Coach Sunday Oliseh to tap into his ingenuity and evolve the right strategy that can make Nigeria rule Africa again in football.

“In the same vein, we urge the Nigeria Football Federation to continue to give the team all the necessary support to aid their outing in Rwanda. We urge the NFF under the dynamic leadership of Mr Amaju Pinnick not to relent in its effort at helping the team to overcome all odds while also urging Nigerians not to waver in their support for the team.”

Globacom also advised the players to be committed and avoid complacency in their quest for glory.

“Focus is vital in this task and we ask the Eagles to be wary of the opposition, especially as competition for the CHAN trophy has become stiffer,” Globacom said.
