Pastor EA Adeboye, General Overseer of RCCG
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has formerly sent forth his retired Deputy General Overseer, Pastor J. H. Abiona, his assistant since 1981, when he took over the mantle of leadership.
Others that were also sent forth are his retired Assistants General Overseers: Pastors Akindele, Ilori, P. Ojo, M. Ojo, Aderibigbe and Otegbade, who got posthumous sent forth.
They were all given the latest Toyota Corolla cars. That of Pastor Otegbade was given to his wife.
The event held during the annual Ministers’ Thanksgiving at Redemption Camp on Saturday. Adeboye started by saying, “Papa DGO has been faithful since he started assisting me in 1981. I want to officially send him off and other retired AGOs. I will give them gifts that will be there in the next 10 years as a personal gratitude. Each of them will get a Toyota Corolla.’
He also appreciated some of the senior pastors of the church who performed creditably last year. His wife, Pastor Mrs Folu Adeboye, was also recognized as the one who helped Pastor Adeboye the most in year 2015.
