Lagos boys storm Sagamu for National U-15 Zonal Football final

The Lagos State U-15 football team have stormed Sagamu, Ogun State, for the South-West zonal finals of the National U-15 Football Championship.

Team Lagos delegation of 23 players and five officials, led by the Chairman of the Technical Committee of the state’s football association, Dotun Coker, is expected to feature in the championship alongside Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti and the host, Ogun state. The tournament kicks off Thursday.

Coach of Team Lagos, Bankole Olowookere says the team are ready for the competition with a strong determination to win the three-day championship.

”We have prepared well for this championship,” he said.

”The Lagos FA has done its part in terms of preparing this team and the boys are raring to do the state proud,” said Olowookere, one of the best youth team coaches in Nigeria.

He praised the board of the Lagos FA for its innovative and result-oriented youth football developmental projects.

”We want to win this championship, but what is of essence and importance to Lagos is to produce genuine young and talented players who will go on to represent the state and country in future national and international tournaments,” Olowookere added.
