A maths problem, which has gone more than 150 years without a solution, has finally been solved by Nigerian academic Dr. Opeyemi Enoch. The Riemann Hypothesis was first proposed by Bernhard Riemann in 1859.

As the first person to provide a solution, Dr. Enoch has scooped a million dollar prize.

Dr Enoch, who teaches at the Federal University, Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), has become the fourth egghead to resolve one of the seven Millennium Problems in Mathematics.

Born in Kogi, the mathematician had previously worked on mathematical models and structures for generating electricity from sound, thunder and Oceanic bodies.

According to a statement issued in Ado Ekiti, Dr Enoch presentation of the Proof on November 11, 2015 during the International Conference on Mathematics and Computer Science in Vienna, Austria becomes more symbolic coming on the exact day and month 156 years after the problem was delivered by a German Mathematician in 1859.

The Riemann Zeta Hypothesis is one of the seven Millennium problems set forth by the Clay Mathematics Institute with a million Dollar reward for each solved problem for the past 16 years.

“Dr Enoch first investigated and then established the claims of Riemann. He went on to Consider and to correct the misconceptions that were communicated by Mathematicians in the past generations, thus paving way for his solutions and proofs to be established.

“He also showed how other problems of this kind can be formulated and obtained the matrix that Hilbert and Poly predicted will give these undiscovered solutions. He revealed how these solutions are applicable in cryptography, quantum information science and in quantum computers,” the statement said.

“Welldone our egg head. Nigerians and the intelligentsia should applaud this man’s effort to prove history wrong. 150 years a black man solves a puzzles that the learned white could not.”

What an awkward comment. Especially since Mr. Enoch hasn’t solved squat regarding this problem. Even more disturbing is the «Nigerian» media’s god-awful journalism revolving this. They make claims that simply journalistic companies shouldn’t produce… awful.

what is clay maths institute saying about solution to problem?

This is all an illusion. A solution discovered in a fantasy world built in the mind of Dr. Opeyemi. I say Dr. Opeyemi is disillusioned.

Chai… so paul has finally found a person even more stupid than himself in Apostle,

God is truly great oh.

What a lie! He aint won no million dollar! How can the press publish a story like this without verifying with the awarding body. We can only go by this local teacher’s claims.

It is only him who explain the solution. This stupit academic Dr. Opeyemi Enoch knows, no Nigerian can proof that.

Sorry, but the whole mathematical intelligence knows NOTHING of a solution and knows even not at all a academic Dr. Opeyemi Enoch.

Welldone our egg head. Nigerians and the intelligentsia should applaud this man’s effort to prove history wrong. 150 years a black man solves a puzzles that the learned white could not. it means that nobody or a people owns knowledge. It is for whoever seeks it and to the extent sought… Congratulation Professor Enoch, The New University at the little Ado Ekiti Is today sounding out of Nigeria as a place that provided the environment for this genius to make his research relevant… Go ahead Prof and Bring down the remaining Mathematical Puzzles from their obscurity to light because you CAN do it. Go Profff..!
