3 Chivita staffs remanded in prison for kidnapping

Three Chivita company workers have been remanded at the Kirikiri prison for allegedly kidnapping a man and hid him inside the company’s premises.

The workers are Kareem Oluwasheun, 28, Uzor reuben, 51 and Kolawole Okelola,33.

They were arrested and charged before Isolo Magistrate’s court for the offence.

P.M.NEWS gathered that their arrest was sequel to information obtained by the police that the suspects captured one Samuel Onukuli and confined him inside the factory premises without the management knowledge.

The victim was kept in captivity before the police went there rescued. Before then, he had already injured him as he struggled with his capture.

They were charged with felony to wit kidnapping, assault and deprivation of liberty before the court.

They however pleaded not guilty to the offence.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs O.A. Adedayo granted them bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The court also ordered that the sureties must show evidence of tax payment and means of livelihood.

They were remanded in prison custody at kirikiri pending when they will perfect their bail condition.

The matter was adjourned till 19 November 2015.
