Talks of finishing in the top four for Chelsea is increasingly becoming unlikely after the defending champions lost 1-0 to Stoke City on Saturday.
Chelsea looks far from conquering their demons in the current Barclays Premier League as they struggled to translate their early dominance into goals at the Britannia Stadium.
The Blues were condemned by a 54th minute strike from Marko Arnautovic.
Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, was not on the touchline as he was observing a match ban but the loss will heap pressure on his position as manager.
The loss also made Chelsea sink further on the league table, from the 15th last week to 16th, just three points away from the relegation zone.
According to Sky Sports sources, Mourinho’s sack will be announced soon. The source claims that the club management will send the Portuguese manager away after failing to steer the team back to winning ways.
