Zenith Bank to pay Oliseh’s salary worth N60m, says Pinnick

Nigeria’s Football Federation (NFF) has revealed that one of Nigeria’s leading financial institutions, Zenith Bank, will be responsible for the salary of Sunday Oliseh, the Super Eagles head coach.

With a monthly salary believed to be N5 million, it is expected that Zenith Bank will cough out the sum of N60 million to pay Oliseh’s salary.

President of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Amaju Pinnick, made the revelation concerning Oliseh’s salary on Monday, noting that, NFF is brokering a deal that will see Zenith Bank pay Oliseh for at least a year.

He noted that the deal is yet to be concluded.

Pinnick also added that the NFF is introducing a sustainable youth programme which will be sponsored by Zenith.

“A newly designed world class Nike kit will be arriving sometime in February and under this sponsorship, state FA chairmen will visit Derby County FA for exchange of ideas. Part of the deal will see Zenith Bank sponsor our youth programme and pay the salary of Coach Oliseh for one year.

“We’ve been on the plan for a sustainable youth programme for over nine months and we hope it will out-live us. It’s a deal we’ll have for four years. Every year we’ll have talents churned out. We are unveiling a sponsor for our youth development programme that will see us produce future Super Eagles,” Pinnick revealed.
