Twenty ships have arrived at Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos waiting to discharge food items, petroleum products and other goods, the Nigerian Ports Authority(NPA), has said.
This is contained in the NPA daily publication – ‘Shipping Position’- made available to newsmen in Lagos on Thursday.
According to the document, the ships contained rice, frozen fish, crude palm olein, petrol, base oil and bulk gas.
The NPA said 30 ships were expected to arrive at the ports from Sept. 10 to Sept. 20.
It stated that 14 of the expected ships would sail in with containers, while six others would arrive with buckwheat, frozen fish, bulk sugar and bulk salt.
The document explained that the remaining 10 ships would sail in with general cargo, truck head, petrol, diesel and base oil.
