Wife of former Governor of Lagos State, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has reiterated her commitment to football development in Lagos State, western Nigeria.

Senator Tinubu, who represents Lagos Central Senatorial District in the Senate, made this disclosure at the draw ceremony and trophy presentation of the 5th Muniru Muse Cup U-12 boys and U- 15 girls Championship which was held Thursday at the premises of Lagos Island Local Council.

Tinubu, who was represented by the Lagos Island Council boss, Adetoyosi Olusi, said the cup donor sponsored the tourney in her constituency to help the youth discover their talents in football.

He further explained that Senator Muse, in whose honour the competition is being staged, contributed his quota to the development of Lagos Central Senatorial District when he was in the Senate.

“Senator Oluremi Tinubu is passionate about the youth and the development of sports in Lagos. Sponsoring a competition like this is an indication that the cup donor is committed to football development not only her senatorial district but Lagos as a whole,” said Olusi who commended both Senator Tinubu and the organiser, Lagos State Grassroots Soccer Association, for taking hundreds of youths out of the streets especially while the schools are on holiday.
