Super Falcons goalkeeper Precious Dede has said that she is now focused on doing well at the Women’s World Cup in Canada after Nigeria secured a place at the All Africa Games football event by beating Mali 9-1 on aggregate.

The experienced goalkeeper said she expects the African champions to shine at the World Cup in June.

The country’s best showing at the World Cup was achieved in 1999, when they reached the last-eight of the tournament.

“After securing the All Africa Games ticket, my target is now to do well at the World Cup,” Dede told AfricanFootball.com

The 35-year-old shot stopper has featured in three FIFA Women’s World Cups for Nigeria in 2003, 2007 and 2011. She was also at the Olympics in 2000, 2004 and 2008.

The FIFA Women’s World Cup will be staged in Canada between June 6 and July 5.
