Former Governor of Ekiti, Chief Segun Oni, has described this year’s Easter as special one that Nigerians should celebrate with deep appreciation of love and goodness of God.

Oni, who is also the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) stated this in his message of felicitation to Nigerians in Ado -Ekiti on Friday.

He said” “Nigerians, as a people and for our great country Nigeria should appreciate the love and goodness of God in our lives.

“It is not by accident or coincidence, but divine, that Nigerians are celebrating this significant season of the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

“It is more divine because we are still basking in the euphoria of the long desired change in the polity with the successful conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections on March 28.

“It is symbolic for Nigerians to note that after the agony of humiliation, trials, pains on the cross and the ultimate sacrifice, Jesus Christ resurrected for the redemption of our souls.

Oni, who wished Nigerians a peaceful Easter celebration, prayed that the new dawn in the nation’s political development would bring forth joy and a life of true freedom and abundance.
