Musician Funke 77 Unveils 'I Have A Cellular'

Female gospel musician and evangelist Funke Olaniyi otherwise known as Funke 77, has completed work on her second album.

The sophomore titled I Have A Cellular is a follow-up to her debut, Olorun Oro (God of The Word) dropped in 2008.

The Dallas, America-based Funke told P.M.NEWS Entertainment Cafe that she returned to Nigeria purposely to record and release the album alongside its video which she described as long overdue.

Funke, daughter of renowned artiste, the late Twin 77, said the album will be released soon to commemorate this year’s Easter celebration.

Funke, a practicing nurse in America, started her music career as a dancer in her late father’s band and as a chorister at Living Christ Evangelism Ministry (LICEM), Egbe Alayo Parish, Oshogbo, Osun State, southwest Nigeria, is also the Choir Mistress at CAC, God of Elijah Parish, Dallas, America.

Produced by musician cum music producer, Michael Adedugbage (Say Yes) at Femopal Studio, Lagos, the five-track album contains tracks such as Ijinle Ife, Temiyemi, I Have A Cellular, the title track, O Tobi Loba and Praise, a medley.
