Governor Saidu Dakingari of Kebbi has pledged to build modern palaces for traditional rulers in Fakai Local Government Area of the state before the end of his tenure.

The governor’s spokesman, Alhaji Abubakar Mua’azu, said this in a statement issued in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday.

According to the statement, the governor made the promise during his visit to the council area.

The statement listed the traditional rulers to benefit to include the District Heads of Bajida and Birnin-Tudu, Alhaji Musa Bahago and Alhaji Edde Muhammad respectively.

It said others to benefit from the gesture included the District Head of Marafa, Alhaji Abubakar Ladan, and the Village Head of Kangi, Alhaji Sani Kangi.

The statement said the governor had already directed the chairman of the local government, Alhaji Umaru Marafa, to provide a proposal for the construction of the modern palaces.
