Today we will begin to examine the role of our self esteem, our self-confidence, and self- concept in relation to our personality. We all know that most successful people have incredible levels of self-confidence and great levels of success; additionally, happiness is visible in their lives. We will try to examine the secrets of their success in connection with their personality styles.

Knowing yourself is an essential prerequisite for all wisdom, there is little point knowing about external things if you do not understand yourself first. Knowing yourself and understanding who you are is not a subject that gets examined, in fact it hardly ever comes up while we are growing up.

In schools the main emphasis is on knowing things and accumulating knowledge about the world in order to pass exams and get good grades. Many people have recognized that they are continuously trying to be someone else or fit  into roles that do not fit their personality, all through life they try adapting themselves to suit their environment. This familiar but uncomfortable situation can come at  too high a cost to our life and purpose. We all need to get in touch with our true selves living in harmony with our authentic nature and the world around us.

To develop your own authentic leadership style, your own unique management abilities, and your own motivations in life, you must invest in yourself, an investment in yourself will result in a happier more fulfilling creative and productive you now and in future.

If you do not know yourself and understand yourself, your self esteem will suffer. Without being in touch with yourself you will not be able to truly get in touch with others, and you will never truly be in a position to understand and relate well to others effectively.
