Renowned for setting the pace in the entertainment, fashion and lifestyle sector, Silverbird Productions has unveiled its new project which is The Mother-Daughter Pageant Nigeria.
Speaking with P.M.NEWS Entertainment Cafe during the launch at the Silverbird Galleria, Lagos, Guy Murray Bruce, Group Vice President, Silverbird Group, said that the new pageant is historic and it is another giant step towards positively affecting the lives of people in the country.
He noted that the Mother-Daughter Pageant Nigeria is the first of its kind in West Africa, and it is aimed at celebrating the love and bond shared between mother and her child.
“We are unveiling to you not just another pageant, but something far more special than that. We are unveiling a commitment from us to the public towards maintaining and strengthening family bonds. We recognise that we are at a crucial period as a nation where keeping close family ties have never been more important, and we intend to celebrate that bond as much as possible,” Murray Bruce said.
Participants at the pageant are expected to purchase forms and short-listed candidates will be in camp for a period of seven days. While in the camp, they will be engaged in a series of activities involving each mother and daughter such as cooking competitions, fashion shows, game night, talent hunt and others.
Winners will emerge from each challenge and the points will be added to their grand finale performance holding at the Eko Hotels and Suites early next year.
The Silverbird Group boss said the pageant is family-oriented one, and as such there will be no bikini contest.
The winning mother and daughter team will get N2million and a trip to Dubai as well as other fantastic prizes.
