Parents have been advised to take good care of their children/wards, especially during this election period in the country, warning that, they should not allow them to be used for political thuggery.

They are also advised to monitor them during the festive period so as not to celebrate with frivolity.

Given the piece of advice today during the Open House event to mark the end of the year activities, the Proprietor of Buckswood School, Nigeria, a British Secondary School along Kobape Road, Abeokuta, Ogun state capital, Prince (Dr.) Lanre Tejuoso revealed that the citadel of education has come to stay.

Buckswood School, Nigeria was established in the year 2010.

According to him, “today is not a day for speech, it is a dream come true. His Majesty has spent a fortune to send us all over the world to study, now that we have moved round, we have to replicate what we have seen all over in our country.

“What we have in Buckswood is unique, this is the only British school in Nigeria. Those who are calling themselves British schools just attached the appellation to their names. Our school is tailored under Buckswood School, Easton, United Kingdom.

“Our students have been impressive and we give glory to God. We are doing loads of things here, among it is, teaching of foreign languages. We will be going to China by nextJuly to see things for ourselves and practicalised all what we have been taught in school,” Tejuoso said.

The proprietor, who is also a senatorial aspirant for the Senate seat for Ogun Central Senatorial District also thank the governor of Ogun state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun for his administration’s support to education, noting that, he gave the sector utmost consideration since the inception of his government in 2011.

Also speaking at the event, Osile of Oke-Ona, Egba, Oba (Dr.) Adedapo Tejuoso urged parents and teachers not to relent in impacting good education and moral onto the children.

The monarch, who is the father of the proprietor, urged parents not to leave their children, especially during this yuletide period, adding that,they must be extra monitored.

Among the dignitaries at the event include three serving state commissioners. They are Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Barr Segun Odubela, his Forestry counterpart, Alhaji Adebayo Fari and Mrs Yewande Amusan of Culture and Tourism.

Others were Special Advisers to the governor, parents and guardians of the students from all over the country.

Highlight of the event was the cutting of the end of the year cake which was led by Oba Adedapo Tejuoso, all staff of the school, students and some well wishers.
