Top gospel artistes Lara George and Buchi have emerged top winners at the recently held Nigerian Crystal Gospel Music Awards.

At the exquisite awards ceremony held at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos, George clinched the award of Best Female Vocalist while Buchi bagged the Best Gospel Reggae Artist honour.

Also on the honours list are Frank Edwards with two awards- Best Male Vocalist of The Year and Most Notable Achievement Award.

PITA also won two awards in the Artiste of The Year and Best Praise Song categories.

Other winners include Mike Abdul (Song of The Year); Nikki Laoye (Best Worship Song); Tehila Crew (Best Group of the year); Eben’s Justified was the Album of The Year; and Preye got the Best New Artiste.

Hail The King, a song by Obiwon featuring Frank Edwards, Eben and Kenny Kore, was voted the Best Collaboration of the Year, while Okiki Jesu Fuji bagged Best Traditional Gospel Artiste.

Sammie Okposo was also honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award; ace producer, Wole Oni got the Crystal Icon Award; while Gospel music legend, Pastor Joseph Adelakun a.k.a. Ayewa bagged the Evergreen Award with his song Amona Tete.

The highlight of the event anchored by Nollywood delectable, Doris Simeon supported by upcoming comedian, Grand Komanda, was the tribute to the late singer Kefee Don Momoh.

Nikki Laoye and Anny Ibrahim rendered some of Kefee’s popular songs during the special tribute session.
