There was a fire outbreak on Sunday which destroyed shops and goods worth millions of naira at Ejigbo market in Lagos, southwest Nigeria.

Also, millions of naria kept in some shops in the market were burnt.

The incident happened at 11 a.m. after workers at a furniture company, Bella Akoussan Furniture, were burning the sawdust from their wood work.
When they set fire on the sawdust, they could not control it and the fire spread to other shops.

According to eye witnesses, the fire wreaked severe havoc before fire service men came to put it out.
