Fun lovers in the city of Makurdi, Benue State, will remember Saturday 5 April for good as home boy, 2Face Idibia, alongside United States-born songstress, Bridget Kelly, thrilled thousands of them who thronged the IBB Square venue of the city leg of the Star Music Trek.
The picturesque North Central city came alive at some minutes past three on Sunday morning when 2face introduced the Roc Nation recording artiste. The two made a fitting compliment on stage while they performed, Let Somebody Love You, a single of 2Face’s forthcoming album.
As the star performer of the night, 2Face kept up his performance as he later launched into other hit songs from his repertoire with the audience giving a positive response.
The event which had Gbenga Adeyinka as compere had other artistes including M.I, Wande Coal, Timaya, Dammy Krane and the only lady in this year’s The Trek, Tiwa Savage, delivering a one-of-its-kind performance. Tiwa, dressed in a minuscule black ensemble, brought the audience to its feet and tears to their eyes as she sang, Missing You, as a tribute to late singer, Zara Gretti.
The Mavin Records leading lady went on to mesmerize the largely male-dominated audience and commanded their attention. She ensured she kept it till she strutted off the stage with her three sexy dancers.
The Star Music Trek will move to Ibom Hall Ground in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State this Saturday for the third leg of the 10-Week, 10-City exciting concert.
