Thousands of enthusiastic fans will converge at IBB Square, Makurdi as the second leg of the 10-city, 10-week concerts line up for Star Music Trek holds tomorrow 5 April in the sprawling city.
Fan favourites Tiwa Savage, 2Face, Timaya, Wande Coal and M.I will be mounting the stage as the momentum increases less than one week into The Trek.
Mavin Records first lady, Tiwa Savage, who will be making her first appearance at this year’s The Trek said: “I’m bringing Eminado live to the city of Makurdi, so happy to be back here performing for my fans. Just be sure that we’ll be holding that stage down in Makurdi from start to finish, so don’t miss out,” she said.
In the same vein, Black Diamond Wande Coal noted: “I don’t know any other place, anyone would rather be at on Saturday. Me and the crew are going to shut it down at IBB Square on April 5th,” Wande Coal added.
“Expect everything you’ve ever wanted in a concert like this,” Dr SID promised.
A pre-gig party will hold tonight at Pages Garden & Park, Makurdi, with lots of fantastic branded prizes such as phones, TVs and much more up for grabs.
Artistes on the Trek this year include 2face, Tiwa Savage, M.I, Olamide, Davido, Wizkid, Wande Coal, Sound Sultan, Pasuma, Mr Raw, Timaya, Dr Sid, Naeto C, KCee, Sean Tizzle, Phyno and May D.
The first stage of Star Music Trek 2014 held on Saturday 29 March at Local Government Stadium Nsukka, with eager fans storming the venue in a bid to watch some of their favorite artistes perform.
Star Music Trek 2014 will be touring eight other cities: Uyo, Umuahia. Orlu, Ekwulobia, Onitsha, Benin, Ado Ekiti culminating in a spectacular grand finale which will hold at Jalisco Sports Center, Oshodi, Lagos State.
