This is a cherry news for lovers of the late Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister’s brand of fuji music as veteran fuji musician, Idowu General returns on stage after a seemingly very long break.
Responding to a poser, he said he didn’t quit music but only went on what he called “musical hibernation” and now he is fully back on stage.
According to him, “I did not quit music, I only went on a temporary leave which I term “musical hibernation.” But now, I’m back and have even made a considerable number of live performances alongside some younger colleagues.”
A member of Lagos Mainland zone of Fuji Musicians’ Association of Nigeria (FUMAN) and Performing Musicians’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Idowu General said he hopes to mark his 50 years on stage later this year.
