The countdown has begun as superstar entertainers 2face, M.I, Olamide, Naeto C and Phyno, are set to flag off the eagerly anticipated first stage of the annual pan-Nigerian concert, Star Music Trek 2014, in front of thousands of eager fans in Nsukka, Enugu State.

The Trek will hold on Sasturday, 29 March, at Local Government Stadium Nsukka and officially kicks off the impressive 10-city 10-week music tour across Nigeria.

“There are implications of missing this concert, so be warned. It’s the only place where you’ll get the best of Nigerian music from the greatest artistes around on one platform in one fantastic night,” said 2Face, headline artiste for The Trek.

Corroborating the Hypertek Records boss, star rapper M.I. said: “Last year on The Trek was truly awesome. From Enugu to Owerri to Aba, the momentum just kept going…For me as an artiste, it’s the best thing when you can connect so well with your fans and play music that they obviously enjoy and appreciate.”

Although the dynamic duo had earlier collaborated on hit tracks such as Ghost Mode and Dope Money, they are rumoured to be working together on the first ever collaborative rap album, 2 Kings.

But excited music fans within Nsukka and surrounding areas will gather for a night of electrifying performances from these star artistes, with popular regional talents also having an opportunity to thrill the audience.

Other artistes on the Trek this year include Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Wande Coal, Sound Sultan, Pasuma, Mr Raw, Timaya, Dr Sid, Naeto C, KCee, Davido, Sean Tizzle and May D.

Star Music Trek 2014 will tour nine other cities: Makurdi, Uyo, Umuahia. Orlu, Ekwulobia, Onitsha, Benin, Ado Ekiti culminating in a spectacular grand finale which will hold at Jalisco Sports Centre, Oshodi, Lagos State.
