I Admire 2Face Idibia, Says Singer Seyi Shay

Fast rising artiste and sultry singer, Seyi Shay, has said that she has great admiration and respect for pop star, 2Face Idibia, who gave her the first stage performance opportunity in Nigeria when she returned from the United States.

Seyi, known for her hit singles including Irawo and Ragga Ragga, stated this while she appeared as this week’s studio guest and co-host with popular MTV Base VJ Ehiz on Nigeria’s weekly show, MTV Base Official Naija Top 10.

“I have so much respect for 2Face. He is my mentor and I have learnt a lot from him and his work. He also got me my very first gig in Nigeria and since then, I have only continued to move higher. I am grateful for every opportunity I have to work with him or perform on the same stage with him, “said Seyi.

The Irawo hitmaker who is at number 7 on this week’s chart with her new video, Ragga Ragga gave an insight on some of the videos that are on the chart.

After the show, Seyi did a quick freestyle for Ehiz and gave him more than he bargained for by surprising him with a quick kiss (shielded from the camera with her hands).

Topping this week’s chart is Burna Boy with the video, Yawa Dey while Dr Sid’s Surulere made a huge leap to number two, moving five places from number seven last week. It kicked Tiwa Savage’s video, Eminado to number 4.

Jesse Jagz also moved up to number 3 from the 6th spot with his video, Bad Girl. Davido made his way back to the chart this week with the much talked about video, Aye at number 10 with 2Face’s Rainbow featuring TPain making its way into the chart at number 9.

Other artists on this week’s chart include Patoranking’s Girlie O on the eighth spot and Banky W’s Jasi staying on number five.
