The March edition of the monthly performance of Nigeria’s doyen of highlife music, Dr. Victor Abimbola Olaiya (OON), may be taking a new form if information reaching P.M.NEWS Entertainment Cafe is anything to go by.
Tagged “An Evening With Victor”, the show is staged on the first Sunday of every month at the Stadium Hotel, Surulere, Lagos and the next edition is on Sunday, 2 March, 2014.
But this time around, highlife music enthusiast and chief executive officer of Somolu, Lagos-based Evergreen Musical Company, Mr. Femi Eso, popular hip-hop artiste, Tuface Idibia, Orlando Owoh sing-alike, Steven Moore a.k.a. Orlando Junior and Olaiya’s banker son, Bayode, among others are set to join the octogenarian trumpeter on stage.
Speaking in a telephone chat, Olaiya said he is looking forward to a superlative performance which is expected to be witnessed by dignitaries from all walks of life.
