LACE Set To Drop Benin2Nigeria Album

On Friday 14 February, fast rising artiste, Taiwo Agbohunsa, popularly known as LACE, will release his first album titled Benin2Nigeria. Presently signed to Dozage record label, the Benin-born singer announced the release recently.

P.M.NEWS Showbiz Trends learnt that the album will be marketed by UBA Pacific. The album launch is billed to hold at Terra Kulture, Tiamiyu Savage Street, Victoria Island. Alongside LACE, top artistes like Olamide, 9ice, Safin and others are expected to thrill the audience.

LACE is highly reputed for his trado-contemporary music in Africa, given that he blends urban R&B and Hip-Hop with the infusion of his mother tongue (Egun language) which he does with accustomed ease. He also sings seamlessly in Yoruba language.

Since 2010 when he released a slew of single Sebiwo, Lace has constantly defined his style as well as gathered a cult-following after dropping follow-up singles like Gba Be featuring Olamide, Fere (Whistle) and hisinspiring single Change My Story.

LACE has worked with multi-award winning producer, Solomon Oyeniyi (K-Solo) and Fliptyce on his recent project.

Seun Dosumu, Dozage Record chairman described LACE  as an artiste that has the ingredient and determination to deliver smashing hits which will eventually see him climb to the top of his game.

“LACE started his music career in 2010 and has worked hard to take his music to this stage. He currently has more than 70 singles  ready for release, I am not surprised to see him come out with a successful first album,” he said.

Dosumu popularly known as Shawn Dozzy believes the record label will soon be “Power House of Music in Africa” with the new breed of talents honing their skills under Dozage Records.

Artiste on the label includes: Mayor Wete, Safin De Coque and the first lady of the label, Enny.

LACE, who is set to tour America before the end of first quarter of this year ,collaborated with notable artistes both in Nigeria and abroad to complete his first album.
