Chike Bryan: Suffers renal failure

As the entertainment industry holds a thanksgiving for the life of music producer OJB Jezreel who underwent a successful kidney transplant abroad, another player in the industry, Chike Bryan, has been diagnosed with the same ailment.

P.M.NEWS learnt that Bryan, National President, Script Writers Guild of Nigeria, SWGN, has been ill for almost two years but was recently diagnosed with kidney ailment in a Lagos hospital.

“Sadly, the movie maker has not been feeling well for almost two years now but in July 2013 when the sickness became severe, he was taken to a Lagos General Hospital where he was diagnosed with the ailment. He kept quiet and has been receiving dialysis since then,” a source told P.M.NEWS.

But the cost of the weekly dialysis has affected the finances of the filmmaker who now has to cry out for help to have a transplant and stay alive.

Bryan needs the sum of N10 million for a kidney transplant in an Indian hospital.

P.M.NEWS learnt that while some key players have been rallying round him to get him back on his feet, efforts are also being made to get across to his governor, Sullivan Chime, of Enugu State for help.
