There is no problem between the chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party and state governors, Olisa Metuh, the party’s publicity secretary said today while also announcing a gag order on party men over uncleared press comments.

In a statement on Monday, Metuh described as untrue a statement attributed to Senator Abubakar Umar Gada, Special Adviser to PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Bamangu Tukur, suggesting that the National Chairman and some PDP governors are at loggerheads over some issues.

He said the comments credited to Gada “does not in any way represent the true state of affairs in the party.”

“For the avoidance of doubt, the NWC enjoys a harmonious relationship with our governors, Board of Trustee members, elders of the party and other key stakeholders with the National Chairman piloting all in supporting President Goodluck Jonathan to deliver the Transformation Agenda for the good of all Nigerians”, the statement said.

He added that “NWC will continue to uphold the manifesto and constitution of the party in the overall interest of all Nigerians in line with the principles of service, justice and equity.

“In this regard, we remain on the same page with our governors and all our elected and appointed officials,” the statement added.

Metuh therefore warned all personal aides of NWC members and all unauthorized persons to desist from making comments on the administration of the party.
