Wazobia FM Lagos on air personality, Uzo Margaret Isinguzo, is set for the third edition of her annual pet project “Uzo Goes To School”.
The event which is powered by Strong Voice Media is slated for Saturday 7 December and it will feature a dose of comedy and dance from notable artistes.
The project, an individual social responsibility, is designed with the aim at improving both the learning and working conditions of pupils and teachers in government-owned schools.
In a statement by Olujuwon Bukunola- Philips, Uzo’s publicist, made available to PMNEWS Entertainment Cafe, “Uzo Goes To School” project’s port of call will be Amuwo Odofin Senior Secondary School.
Phillips noted that the school is in dire need of many things but there will be presentation of the following items by Uzo and her team: marker boards and markers, furniture (tables and chairs for both teachers and pupils), toilet renovation (with tiles, paint, toilet seats), provision of electrical materials, first aid box with drugs and toiletries among others.
The event will be attended by some FESTAC-bred stars including Sound Sultan and Harrysong, while other guests will include Ali Baba, Blackky, Kcee and many on-air personality from different radio stations in Lagos.
The maiden edition and launch of the project was held on 1 December, 2012 at Oore Ofe Primary School, Idimu-Ikotun Egbe, Alimosho LGA, Lagos . It was followed by the presentation of materials to New Road Nursery and Primary School, Ajegunle.
