Nigeria’s Super Eagles Chief Coach, Stephen Keshi, has described the second leg of the 2014 World Cup qualifier between the Super Eagles and the Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia as a “tough match”.

Keshi, who said this on Wednesday in Calabar during an interactive session with `newsmen, described the Ethiopian national team as “a very good side.”

He said: “`They are a very good side and they have stayed together for more than five years. It is not going to be easy. We have a serious work on Saturday.

“So, we have to be very cautious.’’

Keshi said the Super Eagles were “mentally and physically” fit to confront the Ethiopians on Saturday, and expressed optimism that they would do the nation proud.

He said that discipline was the secret behind the team’s successes, adding that the interest of the country supersedes any individual interest.

“Every human being deserves respect. The line of communication is very open. If you are not ready to abide by the rules of the team, you leave.

“Nigeria is bigger than anybody, ‘’ he said.

Keshi said that the relationship between the home-based and foreign-based players in the Super Eagles is cordial.

He coach expressed displeasure over the pitch at U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar, venue of the match and described it as `unkempt.’

“The pitch is unkempt; it is not the same as we used to know, ‘’ he said.

All the 25 players invited for the crucial match were already at the Metropolitan Hotel Camp of the team. (NAN)
