Alhaji Yisa Ayinde Atiba, also called Melody, a Fuji musician based in Oyo town, Oyo State, has debunked the recent speculation that he was arrested by security operatives in the United Kingdom over money laundering.

Speaking with P.M.NEWS Entertainment Cafe on telephone, Yisa confirmed his arrest by the British police, but not for money laundering.

He explained that he was accosted for not declaring the money on him at the point of entry in Heathrow Airport, as he had on him more than the statutory Basic Travel Allowance (BTA) of Ten thousand British pounds.

“I was arrested for not declaring the thirty thousand British pounds I had with me which the British law does not allow,” he said as he doused the rumours.

Atiba was said to have been arrested on Sunday, 20 October, at the Heathrow Airport, London over alleged money laundering.
