Nokia Don’t Break Da Beat Enters Voting Stage

With 16 contestants in the box ready to contest to win the star prize of $20,000, Nokia in partnership with Trace Urban have announced to viewers to start voting for their favourite contestant in the ongoing Nokia Don’t Break Da Beat rap competition.

The contestants both from Nigeria and Ghana, recently announced to have reached the ‘Top 16 stage’ will now vie for the star prize of $20,000.

“Don’t Break Da Beat is really getting hot, we have waited a long time to get to this stage, and here we are, ready to make history in West Africa’s entertainment industry. This has been an opportunity for these young individuals to showcase their talents to West Africa and also meet veterans in the music industry,” said Deborah Shepard, Head of Marketing, Nokia West Africa.

Each contestant has a unique number that viewers can use to identify their favourite contestant to vote for them.

The competition was introduced in 2012 to inspire consumers to express themselves and appreciate Nokia’s range of Asha devices. The show was warmly received by youths in Nigeria and produced TKO as the winner of last year’s competition.
