Omolola Adegoke has a mission and the mission is to use music to call attention to the greatness and mightiness of God. She sings the praises of the Almighty in a refreshing and soul inspiring way. And she wants to spread the praises of the Almighty far and near. To actualize this mission the 2006 graduate of mass communication of the Olabisi Onabanjo University recently concluded work on her debut album which will definitely light up the gospel music scene .
For Omolola, gospel music was for a long time a side kick. However in 2010, her desire to express her love for God grew deeper and that led to her venturing into music as a career.
Iwoloba (You Are The King), her debut album, has eight tracks of inspirational, gospel music that will be launched on 20 October at WFC Event Centre, in Oregun, Lagos. Other tracks include Irebamiji, Durotimi, Koseni To Mo Se Oluwa, Medley, Olu Orun, Ose Jesu and Pray.
In all the tracks Omolola shows creativity as a communicator, entertainer, a passionate gospel artiste and a song writer with a difference. The songs have deep scriptural messages of patience, love of God, prayer and words of encouragement.
Though Omolola is a naturally private and shy person, God has given her a tremendous gift that when it is time for gospel music she is transformed and does her thing with refreshing verve. When she leads worship service there is always a testimony.
Her husband, Temitope Adegoke, has been a great encouragement and support to her success in life especially in the area of her musical career.
