After six years of regaling audiences with profound stories of persons who triumphed over some of the most daunting challenges, Udy, a leading actress and former First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, is set to deliver a multi-activity event to mark its sixth anniversary.
Udy will be presenting a collection of 106 DVDs of her programme, “His Word Made Flesh” and also launch a charity foundation during a night tagged ‘An Evening of Hope’.
The strictly by invitation black tie and evening gown event will hold on Saturday, 26 October, at the ultra-modern African Hall of the new Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island-Lagos.
Udy, who is also a lead designer at Colours, a fashion enterprise, will present the DVDs of her popular His Word Made Flesh, a reality talk show that highlights the heart-rending, but inspiring turn-around stories of top personalities in the society.
According to Udy, very often she is swarmed with requests for monetary intervention from people who are in need, but the launch of His Word Made Flesh Foundation, a charity project, will take care of such demands.
“We intend to put up a world class event. Painstaking preparation is already on to enable us put up a show worthy of your presence,” said Udy about the prospects of the event.
Senator David Mark, the Senate President, will be the guest of honour, and he will formally unveil and present the DVDs to the public.
