On Sunday, 28 July, Africa’s Best Actor and Actress, Nigeria’s OC Ukeje and Ghana’s Jackie Appiah were on the Big Brother The Chase Live Eviction stage to talk about the 2014 AfricaMagic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
The two stars joined show host, IK Osakioduwa, on stage to announce the commencement of the second edition of the awards ceremony that will take place 8 March, 2014 in Lagos.
Prior to the live eviction show, Appiah and Nigeria’s Akin Omotosho, AMVCA’s Best Director winner, had spent some time in the house on Thursday to help judge the housemates’ task presentation.
During the show, Kenya’s Annabel and Zambia’s beefy Sulu bade farewell to The Chase as they were both evicted from the show. They both received the fewest viewers’ votes from Africa last week.
Annabel was up for eviction after receiving three nominations from her housemates, while Sulu found himself in the firing line after Head of House, Bimp, saved Cleo and put him up for eviction in her place.
With less than 30 days left in the game, nine housemates, including Nigeria’s duo of Melvin and Beverly, remain in the house to battle for viewers’ votes and the $30,0000 prize money.
Namibia’s multi award-winning rap kingpin, Sunny Boy, rocked the stage twice – first with Yeah Aa/Balance and then towards the end of the show with his smash hit Follow Me.
