While expressing displeasure at the expensive rumour, Bamishigbin hoped that this is a sign that the actress will live longer. “It is unfortunate that some people somewhere are just spreading misleading information. But I pray that God will turn it into a positive one for Bukky Ajayi. She will live longer,” he said.

On Monday, the aged actress debunked the death rumour in a phone chat with P.M.NEWS Nollywood Reel. She therefore urged her fans to ignore the rumour.

“I was surprised to hear the rumour as well. About four people had called me concerning this issue, but I didn’t take it seriously until my daughter and her husband also called. I’m hale and hearty, and nothing is wrong with me,” Mama, as the actress is fondly called, said.

She explained that “if it was when I was ill, perhaps, I won’t be surprised. But I’m  okay now, that’s why I’m wondering where the rumour emanated from. ”
