Nine new Globacom ambassadors and Nigeria’s A-list singers have joined the Glo Slide & Bounce train on a tour of eight Nigerian cities. The fourth leg of the tour was staged in Enugu last weekend, where the entertainers held their fans spellbound.

The Golden Royale Entertainment Arena, venue of the concert, was besieged by thousands of fun seekers in Enugu and neighbouring areas. The masked one, Lagbaja, was the greatest hit of the evening as he got a resounding standing ovation from the Enugu audience who could not resist dancing to his monster hits like Nothing for you, Konko Below and rendition of his Unlimited duet with P-Square.

The pace of the concert was set by the first act of the night, MI, who got a wild ovation from the audience with his dramatic appearance in the middle of the hall when all eyes were riveted on the stage. He wowed the crowd with his participatory performance which enabled people to sing with him.

MI commended Globacom for the inimitable support for the entertainment industry, especially the discovery of new talents through the X Factor Television singing reality show, where he is one of the judges.

Naeto C, who was the last act, was highly sought after by the crowd for photographs after his performance and the security men had a herculean task controlling the surging crowd. One of the songs he performed was Ten Over Ten.

Lynxx, Omawumi,Chee, Waje, Burna Boy and Bez ensured that there were no dull moments during the concert and the appreciative audience was rewarded with gifts like X Factor T-shirts and compact discs while BasketMouth, Okey Bakassi and DJ Spinall added pep and laughter to the event.

The trio of Agu Munachiso, Michael Kareem Richman and Judith Olurankinse won Samsung Galaxy phones for their entries in the on-line singing competition on YouTube tagged “Bounce with Artistes” which features Omawumi.

Addressing the crowd, Globacom’s Divisional Director, South East, Mr. Mike Ehumadu, urged Nigerians to continue to support Globacom, adding that the company has a lot in store for the youths in the days ahead.

From Enugu, the Slide & Bounce train will move to Port Harcourt this weekend before hitting Calabar, Uyo, Lagos and Abuja in subsequent weeks.
