Star Music Trek 2013 Starts In FESTAC Town

Come 8 June, the yearly music tour, Star Music Trek, will officially kick off with a blast as thousands of music fans will gather at Jite Open Field, Road 21, FESTAC Town, Lagos, for a blazing night of music and electrifying performances.

P.M.NEWS Showbiz Trends learnt that the Saturday night concert will have star entertainers including P Square, M.I, Ice Prince, Sound Sultan and KC opening up the first phase of the annual musical concert before eager Lagos fans.

Other artistes expected to perform at the event include popular hip-hop artiste, Kas and Crystals, winners of Star Quest 2012.

“I am way too excited to say much right now, but I can only promise music fans that they are in for an amazing time with me and other incredible artistes on Saturday,” M.I assured.

Jude Okoye, brother and manager of Pop duo, PSquare said:  “P Square promises to rock this concert like never before. Fans should come out expecting only the best and they won’t be disappointed.”

The 2013 line up of artistes was revealed at an exclusive press conference held at Rhapsody’s Lounge, Victoria Island, Lagos on 22 May.

Other artistes that will perform at this year’s edition of the pan-Nigerian concert include 2face Idibia, D’Banj, Timaya, Wande Coal, Obesere, Mr Raw, Dr Sid, J Martins, Naeto C, Tiwa Savage, Sheyi Shey, Phyno, Olamide, Juke Box, Da Beatz and Crystals.

The Star Music Trek will run for 10 weeks, in 10 cities, culminating in a grand finale at Onikan Stadium, in Lagos on 10 August.

The other nine cities are Aba, Abeokuta, Agege (-Lagos), Asaba, Enugu, Lokoja, Nnewi, Owerri, and Onikan V.I (Lagos).
