U-19 Cricket W/Cup: Nigeria Invites 33 Players To Camp

Nigeria Cricket Federation, NCF, has invited 33 players for the national trials in preparation for Nigeria’s participation at the 2013 ICC U-19  Cricket World Cup Qualifiers at a yet to be announced venue.

George Wiltshire, the federation’s Chief Operating Officer, COO, said in a statement early today that the trials, which is phase one of the national camping, is scheduled to hold in Lagos from Monday, 29 April to Thursday, 2 May at the University of Lagos Cricket Pitch, from 9am to 6pm daily. He added that 18 players will be shortlisted at the end of the 4-day trials. He disclosed that Seyi Sonde has been appointed as Coach, while Okon Ukpong is Team Manager.

The invited players include Adedeji Sesan-Ogun, Adiamo Mojeed-Ogun, Ajeku Daniel-ogun, Obisesan Afeez-Ogun, Adebowale Segun-Ogun, Adebiyi Usman-Ogun, Ogunbayo Dayo-Ogun, Adu Bimbo-Ogun, Awosanmi Kunle, Duru Kelechi, Emmanuel Samson, Oyenuga Niyi, Alfred Tayo, Yusuf Mustspha, Awosanmi Ope, Ojewale Kehinde and Ayinde Babatunde.

Others are Adams Rasaq, Shina Awodele, Sadiku Shakiru, Dayo Lawal, Okojaja Henry, Dormotimi Erelayefa, Gim Daniel, Okpe Isaac, Joel Joseph, Onoja Godwin, Akachuckwu Chima, Ekhide Christopher, Rilwan Lukman, Edeigbe Festus, Solomon Gabriel and Ndifreke Ekpe Okon.
