As singer Omawumi finalises preparation for the release of her sophomore effort The Lasso of Truth, the vocal diva will equally be staging a special concert for the launch of the new album.
Omawumi will take the centre stage at one of the concerts of the year, scheduled to take place at Oriental Hotels, Lekki, Lagos on 7 April.
She said the concert will be an opportunity for her fans and well-wishers to enjoy her music.
“Most times when I perform at gigs, I always stick to time to give space for other performers but with this concert, I intend to show my true colour as a great performer and a great entertainer,” Omawumi told P.M.NEWS Showbiz Trends.
She added there will be something spectacular about the concert that will make it different from others.
“This concert has been in the works for a long time now. I kept putting it off because of my work load. There are concepts I came up with during the recording of my songs but I can’t execute them for lack of time at other people’s gigs. My musical arrangements are always different and interesting,” she said.
The Lasso of Truth Concert is being organised by Cecil Hammond’s Flytime Promotions, and it will feature Tuface, Onyeka Onwenu, Wizkid, Flavour N’abania, Waje, Tiwa Savage, Timaya, Sheyi Shay and Mercy (Nigerian Idol winner).
