“I am wishing Nigerians and the fans a great new 2013. My New Year resolution is to win 2013 AFCON because it would be a perfect gift for Nigerians, who have stood by the national team,” Musa said

The ex-Kano Pillars star is poised for his Nations Cup debut in South Africa. Musa has also insisted the Eagles will not be intimidated by the top stars they will face when they take on Catalonia tonight in Spain.

He will up against Barcelona defenders Carlos Puyol, Gerrard Pique and Jordi Alba in this AFCON warm-up clash.

“Personally, it won’t be hard to face them. I have faced a lot of world-class defenders, especially in the Champions league. Others in our team have played at top level, so there is no reason to be afraid of facing any one,” he declared.

“Emma Emenike took on the Barcelona defence at Camp Nou, for one, so no cause for alarm. We are ready for them.”
