Ailing star actress, Ngozi Nwosu, has described as evil the widespread speculations that she is suffering from the deadly Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, AIDS.

The actress told an online magazine, Bononline, that she never tested positive to the HIV as some people assumed recently. “I don’t have AIDS,” Ngozi declared in a chat with the portal.

According to the star of the popular sitcom, Fuji House of Commotion, contrary to the AIDS tale, she has only been diagnosed with kidney and heart-related issues, and she is presently battling to raise money to treat herself.

Showbiz Trends learnt that Ngozi needs at least N6million urgently for treatment abroad. And as part of efforts to bring the actress back to health, the producers of the popular television game show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? has, through its annual special celebrity edition, raised some money to assist the actress.

“Ngozi is willing to live longer but we have to support her. She needs the money fast to treat herself abroad,” Seun Oloketuyi, CEO, Bononline, who was on the game show’s hot seat told Showbiz Trends.

“Thanks to God and medical attention, she is willing to fight the disease,” Ngozi’s private nurse added.

She said that though the actress has lost half of her original weight, she was better than three months back when she could not even get up from bed in her Surulere, Lagos apartment.

A bank account has been opened to raise funds and rally round to save the actress. Contributions can be sent to the account: Ngozi Nwosu, GT Bank plc, 0052851673.

Nwosu’s failing health became noticeable early last year when her radiant look turned pale and she lost a lot of weight. It was then first rumoured that she has cancer. The tale later changed to HIV/AIDS, until her latest revelation of her kidney and heart-related issues.
