Super Eagles Chief Coach Stephen Keshi will on Thursday lead other world football stars to the 2012 Glo/CAF Awards Gala billed for the Banquet Hall, State House in Accra, Ghana.

Expected to grace the annual event are Ghana legend, Abedi Pele, Anthony Baffoe, Anthony Yeboah, Abdul Karim Razak (Golden Boy), Ibrahim Sunday and Cameroon hero Rigobert Song amongst others.

CAF President Issa Hayatou, has already arrived in Accra in company of some members of the CAF Executive Committee to supervise the ceremony designed to celebrate the success chalked by African football during the year under review.

Whilst in the Ghanaian capital, the CAF President and his team will hold series of meetings ahead of the Awards Gala.

The city has been overwhelmed by some of the biggest names in African football for the ceremony.

The personalities ranging from active footballers, ex-footballers, administrators and coaches from all walks of life are in the land of the four-time African champions to witness and add colour to the coronation of the foremost footballer on the continent.

Ivorian duo Yaya Toure and Didier Drogba, and Cameroonian midfielder Alexander Song are contenders for the flagship CAF Player of the Year 2012 prize.

Accra is playing host to the Awards Gala for an unprecedented fourth time after 2006, 2009 and 2011.

Telecommunication giants, Globacom are the sponsors of the event.
