Opa Williams' The Evening Holds

It was a captivating night as the much-awaited Opa Williams’ annual Charity Ball tagged The Evening held on 25 November.

The event which held at the Shell hall of the MUSON Centre featured 2Face Idibia, comedians Ali Baba and Gordons and the Marina Orchestra among others. This year’s edition was aimed at bringing succour to the visually impaired and was organised in association with the Nigerian Society for the Blind.

Williams described The Evening as a perfect Christmas gift anyone can give to loved ones this Yuletide season. “The Evening, is not a concert; it is more than a concert… It is a carefully packaged minutes and hours of novel and exciting all-round entertainment specifically made for those who have read, understood and exhibited what style and taste is all about,” said Williams.

Thirty per cent of proceed of the show has been set aside for the procurement of Brail machines as well as other visual support materials for the visually impaired.

The Evening offered a platform for people of similar interest to network while savouring entertainment dished out by 2Face who, backed by the 50-man Marina Choir Orchestra, performed all his songs.
