Bombs: 2 Senior army officers kicked out of Jaji

Almost a week after an embarrassing twin suicide bombing of a military church in Jaji, Kaduna state, Nigeria’s military high command has responded by posting out the senior officers at the formation.

The Chief of Defence Staff, Adm. Ola Ibrahim, has ordered the redeployment of AVM Ibrahim Kure, the Commandant, Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji.

Also to be redeployed is Major General M.D. Isa, the Corps Commandant Army Infantry Corps, Jaji, according to a statement by Colonel Mohammed Yerima, the Director, Defence Information.

It said that the deployment followed the Board of Inquiry raised by the Defence Headquarters to unravel the circumstances that led to the bomb explosion which rocked St. Andrew’s Protestant Church at the Jaji Military Cantonment in Kaduna State last week.

According to the statement, AVM E.E. Osim is to replace AVM I.A. Kure as Commandant, Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), while Maj. Gen. K.C. Osuji will act as Corps Commander, Infantry, Jaji.

It said that Kure and Isa would be redeployed by their respective services.
