Actor Jim Iyke has been nominated for an award for his contributions to the movie industry.
The award presentation is part of the activities lined up to mark the forthcoming Anambra Book & Creativity Festival. Tagged “This is Anambra”, the five-day event, which will hold in Awka, the state capital, is organised by Anambra Book and Craft Network.
The event commenced on 20 November and will end tomorrow. It features various activities and presentations by seasoned and young artists, writers, filmmakers and musicians from different parts of Africa and beyond.
Jim Iyke’s media manager, Mitch Ngaman, said the actor was picked for the award “because he has been a worthy ambassador of his country and Africa.”
