Afropop singer and producer, J Martins has been named African Music Ambassador by the organisers of the Golden Icon Academy Awards, GIAMA. The ceremony recently took place at the Morris Cultural Centre, Houston, USA.
J Martins, who recently dropped a new single, Kpomo, was honoured for his achievements in the African music industry, the organisers said.
The singer thanked the organisers for the honour and his numerous fans, who have stood by him.
Other recipients of the awards include Stella Damasus, Ramsey Nouah and Uti Nwachuckwu.
Golden Icon Academy Movie Awards (GIAMA) is an annual awards event designed to celebrate the very best of Africa’s rich culture of entertainment as well as creativity in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
