BCAN Seeks Justice Over Member's Murder

Bus Conductors Association of Nigeria, BCAN, has appealed to President Goodluck Jonathan, the Director General of State Security Service, Ita Ekpeyong; Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar and Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola to wade into the alleged murder of  its member.

P.M News reported last Wednesday that the deceased, Kazeem Adeoye, who was a bonafide member of Kosofe branch of BCAN, was allegedly shot dead at Tipper Garage in Ketu when he refused to offer a policeman bribe.

According to an eyewitness, Omolabake Oluwole, the policeman identified as Corporal Oluwatiyesi Gboyega attached to Mopol 50, FCT Abuja, was said to have opened fire on Adeoye at close rage. The bullet hit him on the head and he died on the spot.

While addressing newsmen on the incident yesterday, president of BCAN, Adesola Isreal condemned the barbaric killing of Adeoye.

Adesola added that: “The parents are calling for justice and we as a registered association are calling for justice to be done. Those who murdered Adeoye must face the wrath of the law.”
